Here is a shot from my top window of our car and the houses across the street. You can see our "little" one way street which is the norm here.
It may not look like much- well actually its only about 3 inches, but to locals here this is insane weather. So insane- that Brents classes were cancelled!! Hurray for us!!! Aubrie is pretty excited to have her Daddy home all day. The scary thing is that now it is raining and turning everything into ice- so really I wouldn't want to be driving in this. The ice gets really thick here and forms like inch thick sheets on the streets- that is rough to drive in. The fact that schools are closed here is kind of silly to us who just came from about 30 inches of snow in Utah during December- but we are not complaining!

It's not the snow that cancels school, its the rain that comes and turns everything into ice. And they can't treat all the small side roads. Yay for humidity-- it leads to no school :)
Growning up in St. George, we were thrilled when we got half and inch and schools were closed with anything over 1 inch. And there wasn't even ice to deal with down there, just inept people who didn't know how to drive in one inch of snow.
I hear those ice storms are pretty bad, so take care of yourselves!
you make me miss being back east. although chicago (where i grew up) is the heart of the midwest, it's definitely more east than west... i love it. i hope you're enjoying it... looks like fun! hope aubrie and brent have a great day today! oh, of course, you too...
how fun that Brent gets to stay home and play! enjoy!
Mike and I live in Connecticut now and I have had 3 snow days and 4 delayed openings this year. It is crazy how easily they cancel school!
We are living in the arctic out here...lots of ice to go around for everyone!
Aubrie makes an adorable snow bunny:)
